Parents/Families/Guardians

The beauty of the Pyramid model is that  it carries 20 years of science behind it. The gentle and positive parenting approach has proven to be hugely successful in preventing or minimizing challenging behaviors, ensuring that the integrity of the parent/caretaker and child relationship remains intact. The materials designed for the classroom were purposefully crafted to mirror those materials shared at home. Guardians at home are a child’s first and most important teachers. When children receive the same positive message across all environments we can greatly increase the probability that the skills will take hold.

TES recognizes that some children might not respond to this model. Some children may have been exposed to trauma in utero, or as a result of being removed from their biological parents for any myriad of reasons, some may have spent extensive time in the NICU, or the child’s parent was deployed and natural attachment was interrupted. It is our goal to connect families to classes with us or in the community that will best fit their unique needs.

We don’t know what we don’t know. TES has constructed a tool box full of trusted resources, strategies, and community partners that want to strengthen families. TES is connected and is here to serve as a bridge or liaison to make asking for support just a little bit easier.

Early Childhood Professionals

Let’s face it, teachers have nearly zero time to invest in themselves because they are so busy selflessly serving others. That’s why we love teachers so much here at TES. We want to help meet your professional development needs to stay current on your Social Emotional training requirements for the year. For more than 7 years, trainers at TES have been providing bi-annual Pyramid Plus Approach training to hundreds of Early Childhood Educators and Service Providers. Additionally our staff can team with centers in El Paso county to individualize training to address the particular behavioral and social emotional challenges they might be facing. Coaching and consultative services are also available to teachers looking to build their skill sets with managing or mitigating challenging behavior in the classroom.

Community Partners

We live in a resource rich community. Often for young parents and teachers the simple enormity of available supports can seem overwhelming and difficult to navigate. Our commitment to serving as a liaison for families and teachers by providing direct connections to programs and policies intended to help them is a top priority for us.  Often our larger agencies are tasked with identifying funding, producing data to support the needs that there is no time or resources to put boots in the ground to ensure implementation or dissemination of the information to those that need it most.

Additionally, TES can offer our community partners quality trainings and tools that support their mission to strengthen families.
